The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) has stated that the Sputnik Light COVID-19 vaccine has shown an efficacy of 78.6-83.7% among the elderly, as per real-world data obtained by the Ministry of Health, Buenos Aires province, Argentina.

In the data aggregated from more than 186,000 individuals, 60-79 years of age, over 40,000 of whom had been given a dose of Sputnik Light vaccine (first dose of Sputnik V) under the vaccination program, the infection rate from 21st to 40th day of receiving the first dose was found to be a mere 0.446%.
